“Yes, we will.”
Something tells her this isn’t the end of this conversation. She wants to push it. It’s the base part of Naoto speaking. She need the other to understand, and she don’t want to give up. But she also know one thing: she can’t touch her.
Taking a deep breath herself, the Shadow works hard to keep her powers in check. It took several more gulps of air before her fists start to loosen up. She’s still angry and upset, but she might just not blow up yet…
“As long as you live, we will exist. It is by your action and words that determines how well we react.”
‘And this conversation here? Not a good start.’ The Shadow thought to herself.
There was no use. Everything was for naught now. Chie had lost her fight; this Shadow had one. And there was some sort of empty feeling in her chest that tacked on to that loss. A sharp breath in, and she felt her rib cage tighten around her lungs like it was some sort of heavy sin to just breathe.
So, the Shadow was met with a case of silence. Something that the brunette was not known for. She was serious. And this streak in her, this streak that told her that something was just wrong with this entire situation in general.. It held her back from being the usual Chie that she was known for.

“Haven’t you learned anything? We are your Shadows. We are you deepest and darkest thoughts and instincts! As long as you have a simple thought that you cannot speak out about, even if you backpedal, the power is set for us to exist!”
The Shadow likewise gritted her teeth. This is definitely frustrating, so much so her entire body is shaking from holding in the outrage she’s currently feeling. This is no longer simple argument. It has moved to include all the Shadows reasons to exist. And quite frankly, it has gotten rather personal.
Slowly, the brunette found herself giving up. There was no use in pushing the situation any further, but the entire case with the Shadows had really gotten on her nerves. Regardless, she shook her head, lips parting to let out a quiet breath rather than a snarky comeback.
“…So, technically, you’ll always be out there. Because everyone’s hiding something.”

“More harm?”
The Shadow breathing is starting to get heavy as her fists clenched so tight it turns into an ugly shade of white and red.
“More harm? I haven’t even touched a hair on your head! The only harm we do is because of your own stupid action and words!”
At this point, the Shadow is ready to spring into action. The power of anger is starting to override her control over herself.
Her hands skyrocketed into the air above her and she let out an exasperated sigh, almost in an attempt to keep herself in check. But she was long gone now, not coming to realize that she was a minute away from getting her ass kicked. She gritted her teeth, shaking her head.
“You Shadows are all.. You’re part of us already.. Why have you come back..?”

Now she’s getting answers. Answers she does not like at all. The glaring remain as the Shadow start to speak in a low growl.
“So what you are saying is that we are not allowed to exist, for any reason?”
She isn’t her Shadow, but that does not mean her berserk button can’t be pushed. The thought is rather existential, but it is important to her.
“So one Shadow cause trouble must mean all of us will?”
“You exist.. because you’re the manifestation of the parts of us that we deny, and then you go berserk. But when you come back up again, like this, after being defeated and all.. All you’re doing is causing more harm, and..!”
Chie wasn’t quite sure where she was going with this. All she knew was that she was getting absolutely fed up with the sudden spike in Shadow interactivity — it shot off after she came into contact with her own Shadow once more, and now there was this insatiable rage that surged through her.

“So you can’t handle simple meeting with another beings? Is that what you’re telling me?”
Because she is otherwise, making no sense. Not to this Shadow anyway. The frustration is not doing well on making her flimsy self-control hold on to what’s left of her sanity. In respond, her eyes just continue to glow brighter as her anger continue to grow, and her head continue to pound with a new ache.
“That’s not it.. It’s you Shadows who are supposed to be long gone, reappearing, and causing a mess again..!”
Chie breathed out her words in one huge rush, sweat forming at her brow and slowly sliding down her face. Her tight fists eased, and her head lowered, a sigh escaping her as she attempted to retain her usual, somewhat level-headed persona.

“What, can’t handle a little meeting? Why is that? Have you fought with all of us one after another?”
The Shadow eyes glowed. Chie isn’t the only one irritated. The Shadow balled her fists and stuff them into her pockets of her oversized coat. She stalked forward and glared up at her.
“Exactly! Every last one of you! You’re all just—!!”
She almost screamed, voice reaching new octaves. Frustration etched itself deeper into her features, a frown slowly encasing over her lips.

“Well, that’s not like you to run away from problems…” Then again, everyone had been running away from her lately. She wonders about that as she watched the girl turn away. “When had you turn into such a coward.”
“I’m no coward.. I’m sick of this!”
Chie gripped her hands into fists and turned right back around to face the Shadow, chocolate-tinged eyes ablaze with irritation.

The Shadow threw her head back and laughed.
“Having quite a stressful day, huh? Meeting doppelgangers and Shadows, I assume?”
Chie just shook her head in immediate irritation, averting her gaze, turning on her heel, as if she were desperate to get away. There was no use for her there.. Why the hell had she gotten herself mixed up into this?
“Almost all of them,” she muttered to herself, perhaps loud enough for the Shadow to hear. “Almost.. every last one of them..”
